Located at 1170 N. Arlington Heights Road, Buona is a family-owned joint. For 25 years, the Buonavolanto family has been making Neapolitan-styled food to the vast majority of northern Illinois. Lucky for us, they have now expanded to Itasca! The restaurant is casual, with patio dining when the weather permits, and a convenient drive-through area. The restaurant is most famous for its Buona Beef — slow-roasted, low-fat, perfectly seasoned beef sandwiches on fresh-baked bread.
Located at 210 N. Walnut Street, Cucina Casale is noted for its pizza, pasta and chicken. The chicken Francese must be tasted to be believed- sautéed in an egg batter and simmered in a lemon sauce – it comes highly recommended from the staff at Casale. From the penne arrabiata to the spaghetti alla carbonara and the tortellini quattro formaggio, this pasta is some of the best in the Chicago metropolitan area.
This restaurant can be found at 5105 Rt 53, and offers friendly service and fantastic food. The TV show Chicago’s Best featured De Marco’s Ristorante as one of the finest Italian restaurants in northern Illinois. Don’t let the surroundings deter you. It’s located in a strip mall, but once you’re in the door, the food and ambiance are fantastic. They offer three excellent veal dishes: Scaloppini con Funghi, which is veal with mushrooms and onions sautéed in marinara sauce; Scaloppini al Marsala, which is veal served with mushrooms sautéed in a wine sauce; and the Scaloppini Parmigiana with breaded veal baked in tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. They have seven types of pasta and eight types of sauces — making for a delicious meal no matter what you decide on.
Tree Guys has a huge menu with pizza, appetizers, pasta, seafood, soups, sandwiches, burgers, wraps, and salads. Come early for dinner, because you’ll need a while to read the menu all the way through! They were also named Itasca’s most popular and highly recommended restaurant by TripAdvisor.
